Where does the time go? Updates and more ….

We are now in the middle of our season, how did that happen so quickly! We are delighted to be able to welcome guests back but sadly, we have not been able to see our friends from further afield. However our 2022 calendar is now available. So take some time out, make plans and join us on one of our unique cruises exploring the spectacular scenery of the Great Glen and Highlands.

Check out the link below for all details.

We have kept some significant booking flexibility for new bookings, and as always just get in touch if you have any questions.

Gifts from the Great Glen

A late Spring and slow start but we were back and launching the first of our cruises, the Moray Firth Wildlife cruise, aboard Ros Crana with Wildlife Guide, Fred Gordon.

Exploring the Great Glen by boat gives you the chance to explore wilderness areas that you just don’t see any other way and sure enough nature delivered with a wonderful chance to see dolphins right up against the boat!

Our landscape and nature has had some time during lockdown to catch its breath and we were rewarded as they came to say hello.

Managing to nip in between the clouds and some decent bouts of sunshine meant guests enjoyed the guided walks off the boats and venture out on the myriad of trails and walks that lead from our stopping places along the Caledonian Canal.

Those of you that have enjoyed these trips are well aware of the gifts of nature and wildlife on offer as we make our way through the spectacular scenery, and as often is the case, snap the incredible wildlife in this spectacular landscape.

We h ave spent the last year pulling together a website that we are extremely happy with and we think you will be too. Aside from lots of information about the cruises and the company, it has an ‘all singing all dancing’ online booking system that is very simple to use. Thanks so much to Lamont Design for helping us achieve this! Of course we are still at the end of the telephone for those of you who would rather book by telephone or for anyone that needs help using the new site! Special Offers In conjunction with the launch of the website we have discounted the remaining available cabins in 2013. July and August are reduced by 15% and September and October by 10%. Check offers for details and actual prices. One Comment Posted on 6th July 16:54pm by Robin Black Congratulations on the new barge. Good luck for the future. New web site is great. How about a nice photo gallery. Regards, Robin

We had the pleasure of presenting our first ever Trails and Glens Biking week to a few guests in August. This cruise offers a variety of moderate biking options. Each day our experienced guide will show you the best of the trails and rides around and beyond the Great Glen. We look for a mixture of trail, forest track, towpath and scenic road that we don’t have time to offer on our Bike the Great Glen cruise. Wild Swimming is an increasingly popular activity on our cruises. The barges lend themselves really well as a base for swimming in the lochs of the Great Glen, just watch out for Nessie! From family groups to seasoned open water swimmers a dip in a lovely fresh water loch appeals on a summers day, especially when you can hop straight in a powerful hot shower afterwards!
